ABC News: Concerns sea lions at risk from gill netting

Environmentalists says more Australian sea lions are being killed in shark nets off WA than are being reported because the State Government has failed to monitor fishers properly.

In a submission to the Federal Government, which is considering an export licence application by WA’s shark fishers, a coalition of green groups said gill nets were the biggest threat to the endangered sea lions.
