Review into our sanctuaries open and all at risk!

review-2-pahe
The Abbott Government has suspended our new national network of marine sanctuaries, and begun a costly and unnecessary review. The Kimberley, Geographe Bay, the Coral Sea, Lord Howe Island, Great Australian Bight and more – ALL are at risk of being cut back or erased completely.
This drastic action makes no sense. There’s already been more than 10 years of science and 750,000 submissions, showing overwhelming support for sanctuaries.
We can’t let this rollback happen. Please send a message to save our sanctuaries today.
Our sanctuaries protect our marine life and give fish populations the chance to rebuild and thrive. Healthy marine life is essential to support our coastal lifestyle, as well as Australia’s reputation as an iconic holiday destination. In fact, tourism, local business and world-class fishing have flourished around marine sanctuaries.
Please send a message to the Government’s Review to help save our marine life and ensure we have fish for the future.
It’s thanks to the thousands of Australians who took the time to write to the Government that we created the world’s largest network of marine sanctuaries. Everyday Australians from all walks of life took a stand for our marine life and our way of life. Now we must stand strong and finish what we’ve started.
The Review is open for comment and they want to hear your view. Please ask them to save our sanctuaries.
Thanks for your support.
