Hey Premier, protect our marine sanctuaries, says billboard featuring 12 locals
A GIANT billboard calling on Premier Mike Baird to protect marine sanctuaries has been erected in Balgowlah.
The advertisement, which was paid for by donations, features local residents reads: “Hey Premier! 9 out of 10 people across NSW support marine sanctuaries. Are you with us?”
The Nature Conservation Council of NSW co-ordinated the campaign and marine campaigner Daisy Barham said that it would be up for one month and estimated about 200,000 people would see it.
“The campaign to save marine sanctuaries has been going for six months, but this particular campaign took just two weeks to bring together – people were keen to get their message heard,” she said.
