Australian author Tim Winton is probably our most recognised writer; a four-time winner of the Miles Franklin, a surfer, snorkeler and all-round sand between the toes kinda guy. He’s also a known recluse, which lends all the more significance to his roles as Patron of the Australian Marine Conservation Society, and public face of their campaign to conserve our sharks.
