ABC News: Gumbaynggirr Elders worry about recreational fishing in SIMP

North Coast Aboriginal elders have criticised a state government amnesty on shoreline recreational fishing in the Solitary Islands Marine Park (SIMP).
The O’Farrell government is considering making the amnesty permanent.
Gumbaynggirr elders from Coffs Harbour to Red Rock have voiced their opposition, due to concern about an erosion of indigenous fishing rights.
