The Wilderness Society says most recreational fishers agree there is no need to wind back protection for marine reserves.
The State Government is considering making permanent an amnesty on recreational shoreline fishing in marine parks.
Representatives of the Wilderness Society were in Coffs Harbour yesterday speaking with local MP Andrew Fraser, and are in Byron Bay today.
