ABC RN Breakfast interview: World's oceans face unprecedented extinction

The world’s oceans are in a far worst state that previously thought, with their decline accelerating at unprecedented levels. The findings are contained in a major report released overnight, put together by a panel of 27 of the world’s top ocean experts and issued by the International Programme on the State of the Ocean.
The report concluded that we are now on the brink of a mass extinction unseen for tens of millions of years, and that it’s largely of our making.
