Southern Courier: Green group fights backflip on fishing

COOGEE is one of 13 coastal towns that has become a focus for opponents of a state government plan to overturn a line-fishing ban in the state’s marine sanctuaries.
The Nature Conservation Council of NSW’s Daisy Barham, a Coogee resident, said those fiercely protective of Gordons Bay and Clovelly beach would understand that coastal protection brought many rewards.
