The Wire: Government opens up oceans for oil exploration

Federal Minister for resources Martin Ferguson has released ocean roughly three times the size of Tasmania to be explored for oil. He says it’s necessary for our future energy security, but environmentalists say it ignores a proposal to develop marine parks around our coastline.
