Banners come out on zones

Jervis Bay residents will protest against the state government’s plan to permanently allow beach and headland fishing in local marine park sanctuary zones.
Less than 7 per cent of NSW waters are protected as sanctuaries.
Concerned locals and business owners will erect banners along beaches, starting with Orion Beach at 3pm on Saturday.
The statewide Save Our Sanctuaries campaign aims to raise concerns about the impacts this decision would have on marine populations, particularly the health and feeding patterns within protected breeding areas.
