Aboriginal Land Council wants no more fishing trial

The Aboriginal Land Council in Coffs Harbour is calling on the state government to abandon the current fishing trial in marine sanctuaries.
The council says recreational fishing should never have been allowed in sanctuary zones because fish stocks in those areas must be protected.
Council spokesman Chris Spencer says, “we need to set aside certain areas so that we can actually enjoy what the ocean provides us into the future for our children, our grand children and our children’s grandchildren”
